A talented Preparatory School musician has received another impressive accolade in the form of a grading triumph.
Zack Coverley, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, recently sat his Grade 4 Piano assessment, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The 11-year-old worked tirelessly in the lead-up to the examination under the expert guidance of dedicated staff situated at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep School site, and he managed to produce a fine performance on the day to emerge from the test with flying colours and achieve a Merit for his efforts.
This represents a significant achievement given his tender age, and Zack will look to continue his fantastic development throughout the academic year during individual and group lessons, as well as the host of different concerts put on by the Prep School in the hope of gaining even more grading successes in the future.
He received some deserved praise and a generous round of applause at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, September 21, which was taken by the Reverend Nick Sissons.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “For Zack to perform so well at such a high level of difficulty is a testament not only to his exceptional talent, but also how hard he is working and how determined he is to get better each and every day.
“This is the same sort of commitment he is demonstrating during lesson time across all subjects and Zack really is a shining example of what a Rydal Penrhos Prep School pupil should be.”
