Caring pupils at Rydal Penrhos have been spending time with residents of a Colwyn Bay care home as part of a special project.
The Year 7 group visited Merton Place Residential Home on Wednesday, March 7, where they spoke with residents about their life experience and learnt more about the significant achievements throughout their life.
The group also shared some of their own experiences with residents at the facility, and will be visiting a number of times in the coming weeks before preparing special Memory Books detailing their findings.
These will be presented to teach resident taking part once they have been completed, and this is the latest in a series of community initiatives organised by Rydal Penrhos over the course of the academic year.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, who supervised the group, said: “This has proved to be a very worthwhile exercise in the past and we were delighted to once again visit the fantastic residents of Merton Place to hear some of their wonderful stories.
“We are very proud of our community involvement across all year groups here at Rydal Penrhos, and hopefully each resident taking part also got a great deal out of the visit by our youngest senior school members.”
