A group of Rydal Penrhos pupils have been praised for their efforts on a camping trip as part of Activity Week.
The Year 7 group spent two nights braving the elements at Dinarth Hall in Rhos on Sea as part of the week-long initiative, which sees pupils from across all age groups spend time at various landmarks across the region, in addition to helping out in the community.
They were supervised by teachers Ffion Lloyd and Darren Baker, with additional assistance from Lower Sixth form pupil Kieron McNamara.
The pupils took part in a series of team building events throughout the two days, including setting up camp, playing games, swimming, hill walking and tidying up.
This was one of many activities that took place across all year groups to mark the end of the academic year at Rydal Penrhos, which also included a Community Action Day and coasteering on Anglesey with Caernarfon firm Back Ventures.
Miss Lloyd, said: “The pupils were brilliant despite the wind and rain being horrific on occasions..
“True team spirit by all the children and I was extremely impressed that they all kept their heads after being drenched on the first night.
“I am absolutely made up with them and I am sure that they slept well after.”
Deputy head Tim Cashell, added: “This was another very worthwhile exercise for our Year 7 pupils, who have all contributed significantly to the success of the school over the course of the academic year.”
