A number of children came away with prizes as part of a special competition run by Rydal Penrhos at a high-profile regional event.
The school ran a Hat Design competition as part of their contribution to the annual Denbigh and Flint Show, which took place on Thursday, August 17.
After all designs were judged by Rydal Penrhos staff that attended the show, Francis Robertshaw-Lewis from Newton, Chester and Lucy Caldwell, of Holywell, were named as joint-winners thanks to their fantastic creations.
There were also two runner-up prizes which went to Lauren Cox and Jacob Hughes, who both hail from Mold in Flintshire, and all four received a gift certificate as a result of their efforts.
Rydal Penrhos’ stand brought a bit of the seaside to the show with the slogan of “RP by the Sea”, highlighting the benefits of the school’s location in an all-round education.
The stand drew a large amount of interest throughout the day, and staff members including Headmaster Simon Smith and Director of Communications Susan Hogan were on hand to answer any questions that members of the public had regarding the school.
Mrs Hogan, said: “We have been long-standing supporters of the Denbigh and Flint Show, which proved to be another highly entertaining and worthwhile event this year.
“Our RP by the Sea stand proved to be a huge success and congratulations go to our winners and runners-up Francis, Lucy, Lauren and Jacob.”
