Another of Rydal Penrhos’ highly anticipated house competitions was held over three separate events recently.
The school held its annual Senior, Intermediate and Junior Inter-House Swimming competitions during the previous half term, with plenty of points up for grabs in the pursuit of the coveted Yeung Bowl House Cup.
A hotly contested junior event brought with it a number of individual performances, with Wesley pipping Payne to first spot by a solitary point. Osborn secured the third spot ahead of Morgan.
The intermediate competition produced a more convincing winner in the form of Payne, who triumphed by 14 points over Osborn (second), Morgan and Wesley (joint-third).
Rounding off the events were the Senior members of the Rydal Penrhos community, which saw Wesley put in a stunning effort to comfortably emerge victorious by an impressive 15 points from Payne, Osborn and Morgan.
After the overall points were counted, Wesley finished first overall, with Payne in second, Osborn third and Morgan in fourth.
Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, said: “Our House events are always a great source of excitement with pupils and staff alike here at Rydal Penrhos, and this year’s swimming category was another fantastic showcase of school pride.
“Congratulations go to Wesley on their victory and indeed to every competitor that took part and contributed to the success of the event.”
