A talented Preparatory School musicians added to his list of recent accolades with another outstanding grading success.
Tristan Griffiths, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, recently sat his Grade 5 Drum Kit assessment and managed to pass with flying colours thanks to his exceptional performance in a pressure situation.
The ten-year-old worked incredibly hard in the lead-up to the grading and was fully rewarded with a Merit mark as a result of his superb efforts, with the test administered by the London College of Music Examinations Board.
This is the latest in a series of successes for the multi-talented pupil, who is a strong academic who is thriving under the guidance and support of Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff at its Prep School site.
He is also gaining a significant amount of experience and varied achievement as part of the school’s extensive co-curricular programme, and Tristan will now begin working with a view to gaining further grading recognition in the future.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Tristan has an enormous talent on the drums and this has been further reflected with a really excellent performance in his latest music grading.
“To progress through Grade 5 despite his tender age is a real credit to him and his music teachers, and hopefully he can continue his outstanding development as the new academic year progresses.”
