A trio of Preparatory School pupils have become the latest to climb the ladder of a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Three pupils have already completed the challenge, but Rayan Kashif and Ella James are now on the final level of the challenge after passing their Stage Three Silver test.
Another who is rapidly approaching the target is Year 6 pupil Freddie James, who gained his Stage Two silver after an impressive score.
All three pupils received their certificates at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 27.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see so many thriving as they strive for gold.
“Rayan and Ella are now just one step away from completing, which is a fabulous achievement in itself, while Freddie is breezing through the rounds at an excellent rate.”
