A trio of Preparatory School pupils are the first to complete a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
This week saw three pupils become the first to complete the challenge, with Lily Davies, George Watkins and Jonathan Osbourne all achieving their Stage Thee Gold award.
No fewer than 13 other hopefuls also received certificates for various stages at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, January 20.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see that the first pupils have completed the three stages.
“Jonathan, George and Lily have worked incredibly hard to get over the final hurdle, and hopefully their achievements will be a source of motivation to those looking to achieve this feat in the future.”
