A talented Preparatory School pupil has become the latest to complete a special spelling challenge.
Rydal Penrhos staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
This week saw yet another pupil achieve Stage Three Gold, with Year 4 pupil Tori Maddocks producing a wonderful effort to gain success.
She received her certificate at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 19.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, who started the scheme, said: “This challenge is something that has really inspired our pupils, and it is fantastic to see so many thriving as they strive for gold.
“Congratulations to Tori for producing a fantastic effort to complete the task, which makes her one of the youngest to complete every stage so far.
“Hopefully we have plenty more to celebrate in the coming weeks, with a number of our pupils now getting close to reaching their target.”
