A talented Preparatory School gymnast has been rewarded for a superb first year in the sport with a notable award.
Tomás Milligan, a Year 2 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, came away with the Most Improved Gymnast of the Year from a presentation ceremony held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
Mother Claudine Milligan, said: “He has worked really hard this year at his gymnastics and almost loves it as much as rugby now.”
The seven-year-old has enjoyed a memorable debut campaign at competitive events, which has seen both individual and team success alongside fellow pupils Will Glanville, Xavier Poynton, Oscar Jewsbury and Toby Simmons.
He was chosen for the award at the North Area of Welsh Gymnastics celebration by coach Hannan Rushton, who works with the young star at Grays Gymnastics Club.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “This is a marvellous honour and one that Tomás has worked incredibly hard to achieve.
“He has taken to gymnastics incredibly well and has secured so much success in a relatively short space of time alongside other Rydal Penrhos pupils who have also shown an enormous amount of promise.
“This all bodes well for the future and I am looking forward to hearing about even more distinctions in the coming months.”
