Preparatory School rugby stars took the field in the hope of securing some coveted house points at a recent competition.
Rydal Penrhos’ inter-house rugby event took place on Wednesday, March 28, which saw Brecon, Snowdon and Pembroke compete in a round robin tournament to determine the overall title.
There were a host of outstanding individual and team efforts throughout the afternoon, which further highlighted the progress being made by each year group under the guidance of Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod and other coaching staff at the school.
After a competitive series of fixtures, Snowdon and Brecon were tied on the name number of points, with the latter securing the crown after managed to score a superior number of tries.
House captains Jonah Craddock and Harrison McKinnel picked up the trophy from Deputy Head Alison Hind at the Prep School’s end of term service, together with a very generous round of applause from staff and pupils.
Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod, said: “It was another thrilling competition throughout and I was delighted with the effort shown by everyone that took part.
“Confidence is very high within the group thanks to their recent Cooper Cup success, and this was reflected in the high level of rugby on show for which they are to be commended as the school season ends.”
