A large number of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their excellent academic progression with further success in an ongoing learning initiative.
Rydal Penrhos’ hard-working and passionate staff devised a new spelling challenge for pupils last year, which has three different levels each with 110 words.
The pupils have been encouraged to work towards their incremental targets of Gold, Silver and Bronze within each stage, and a host of certificates have already been issued as a result of their hard work since the initiative began.
Cammie de la Mare Norris, Lily Copeland, Charlotte Payne, Rafe Tunstall, James Mann, Cameron Pye, Lucas Yu and Izhran Shah have all moved on to the final level of the scheme after successfully coming through their Stage Two Gold assessment, while the Year 6 duo of Matthew Johnson and Max Cowen-Wright moved another step closer after coming through their Stage Two Silver test with flying colours.
Each pupil received their certificates from Deputy Head Alison Hind at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, June 8.
Mrs Hind, said: “The entire Year 4 class have been immensely busy in recent weeks, both academically and at various co-curricular activities, so to see them continue to show commitment to the Spelling Challenge is further proof that the scheme is still capturing the imagination across all year groups taking part.
“Hopefully their recent achievements will inspire them even further and I look forward to hearing about more success throughout the remainder of the academic year.”
