A gifted photographer at Rydal Penrhos has been showcasing her exam work as part of an annual event.
Tasmin Iacobellis, a Year 11 pupil at the school, has drawn widespread praise for her GCSE Photography examination work, which was recently put on display at the Ferguson Centre.
The 16-year-old took on the theme of ‘Gothic’ and created a series of dark and mysterious creations that impressed the visiting exam adjudicator earlier this year.
Her work was part of Rydal Penrhos’ annual Art exhibition, which featured a host of impressive displays from both GCSE and A-level candidates, with portraits, textiles and life drawing featuring prominently.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Despite being a relative novice at the start of her course, Tasmin proved she has a real eye for photography which was demonstrated with her incredibly impressive final product.
“The work that was on display throughout the exhibition was of a very high standard, which is testament to the work of both our dedicated pupils and the staff that guide them throughout their education here at Rydal Penrhos.”
