A talented Preparatory School singer put his summer holiday to good use by winning a talent event.
Perry Williams, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, emerged victorious from a singing competition whilst on holiday at Black Rock Sands in Porthmadog with his family.
The 10-year-old impressed judges with his vocal performance to claim the crown, with sister Amelia – a Year 4 pupil - also reaching the final of the competition.
This is the latest in a long line of musical achievements by Rydal Penrhos pupils throughout the academic year, which has seen them claim a host of certificates from their Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music examinations.
Perry has been a valued contributor to the school’s concerts, and he sang in-front of around 350 people during his competition triumph.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “Congratulations to Perry on his signing competition success over the summer, which further demonstrates just how much talent he has vocally.
“Singing in-front of an audience that large will do his confidence the world of good as he looks to continue his development throughout the coming months at the various concerts he will be a part of here at Rydal Penrhos.
“A huge well done also goes to Amelia for reaching the final despite only being a Year 4 pupil.”
