Talented artists at Rydal Penrhos showcased their impressive work at a special event.
Tha school’s annual Art Exhibition took place on Thursday, June 21, which featured a wealth of outstanding work from GCSE and A-level candidates.
A large number of people attended the open evening to view portraits, videos, photography and other innovative creations situated throughout the department.
Work from departing Sixth Formers such as Elysia Gilman, Luca Leggieri, Morgan Roberts, Anna Richardson, Emily Cashell, and Bethany Klazinga former a large part of the showcase, which received significant praise from those in attendance.
Head of Art Mark Sherrington, said: “The quality of all the work was fantastic. They produced exceptional work as individuals and although all were different, it was of a very high standard.
"The pupils here feel like they can do anything and are also able to keep things traditional, which is reflected in the incredible work they have all produced.
“They have spent hours editing their videos and I don’t think we have ever seen a year like it and not sure we will again.”
Art teacher Suzy Morris, added: “When I walked in it looked like an exhibition of a first-year degree course given the scale of everything, and their work embraces the fresh changes that are happening in art and around Britain.
“They are inspired everywhere they go and I have never seen anything like it from this level of artist.”
