Swimming squad emerge victorious from regional gala

Swimming squad members at Rydal Penrhos turned in a fabulous display to emerge victorious from a regional gala.

The school’s hosted a special event on Wednesday, October 18, which also featured St David’s College, Ysgol Eirias and St Gerard’s School.

After a series of competitive races, the hosts ran out convincing winners with an impressive 132 points, with Eirias High School securing second spot on 94.

St David’s College achieved third place with 89 points for their efforts, with St Gerard’s in fourth after accumulating 26 points from the gala.

Head of Swimming Maciej Ruszkowski, said: “It was very pleasing gala from a Rydal Penrhos standpoint, and I would like to congratulate all of our squad members on their success.

“Hopefully this will stand them in good stead as they go in search of further honours in the coming months, as the current crop look to add to the rich history of regional and national accolades we have achieved over the years.

“I would also like to thank the representatives from Eirias, St David’s and St Gerard’s who made the journey to take part, and I hope they enjoyed the event and found the experience to be a worthwhile one.”
