Rydal Penrhos Preparatory School children in Years 3 and 4 will travel to Liverpool for a special residential trip this week, and we caught up with Mrs Culver for a special preview on what they will be getting up to.
We depart on Wednesday and our first port of call is the World Museum.
The museum is home to many unmissable collections, and, being one of the largest in the UK, the Ancient Egypt collection is a fantastic place to learn about Ancient Egypt. After lunch, the children will also take part in a workshop to further enhance their learning.
Once finished at the museum we will drive on to Liverpool YHA, settle into the hostel before having dinner.
Following dinner, the evening activity will be indoor climbing at Awesome Walls Climbing Centre.
On Thursday, will visit the Merseyside Maritime Museum to explore the major exhibition Titanic and Liverpool: the untold story, which tells the story of Liverpool's links to the ill-fated liner.
Pupils will once again take part in a workshop that presents a unique learning opportunity and is led by an experienced member of their education team.
After lunch, we will move on to the TATE Gallery. Whilst here, the children will have an opportunity to look around the different collections in small groups and take part in a tour led by an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly Visitor Assistant.
It promises to be a very exciting and worthwhile trip for our Year 3 and 4 pupils, who will take a tremendous amount from the experience that will help them considerably during their classroom sessions in the future.
