Preparatory School sporting stars were in good form at a series of fixtures last week.
Rydal Penrhos’ netball and tag rugby sides competed against Abbeygate College and The Firs, and emerged with a great deal of credit from their respective contests.
Two U9 netball sides competed in a special tournament, with the Dragons beginning the competition with a 4-1 victory thanks to a treble from Charlotte Payne.
This was followed by a superb 5-0 win over The Firs, with Charlotte continuing her impressive goalscoring form with four and Sophie Morris managed to net one.
They ended their fixtures with a 4-0 triumph over the Rydal Penrhos Dolphins, with another hat-trick from Charlotte and a solitary effort from Ellie Knight.
Despite the defeat for the Dolphins, they did manage to pick up a win from the event courtesy of a 2-1 success over The Firs.
There was further cause for celebration in the form of the Year 3 tag rugby team, who performed well despite playing against older and more experienced opposition throughout.
Although they won one and lost two, their performance against tough opposition will stand them in extremely good stead in the months to come, with standout contributions coming from Noah Roberts, Shane Ayeni and Felix Griffin.
