Performing Artists at Rydal Penrhos will be showcasing some of the recent outstanding work at a special event next week.
The Speech and Drama department will be hosting the performance on Tuesday, October 3 at the Ferguson Centre, which is set to begin at 6.30pm.
“Speech and Drama Presents…” will be a mixture of comedy and dramatic sketches from pupils across all age groups, with the talented performers’ set to display some of their individual and group efforts that saw them achieve superb results from their recent extra-curricular assessments.
No fewer than 20 pupils came away with hugely impressive final results from their London Academy of Dramatic Art examinations, which they sat prior to the summer break, and the event will also feature snippets from another highly successful set of results from the Chester Festival held earlier this year.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Our Speech and Drama programme has seen a huge surge of interest this year, and it promises to be another highly entertaining evening featuring some of the best performing artists we have here at Rydal Penrhos.
“The success achieved at the Chester Festival was outstanding, and this was followed up by a highly encouraging set of LAMNDA grading achievements, which were a just reward for the passion, dedication and commitment shown by each pupil.”
Refreshments will be available from 6.10pm and showcase is expected to conclude between 7.45 and 8pm.
