The Lower Sixth contingent took a trip to Manchester on Friday, February for the Year 12 University and Higher Apprenticeship Fair.
The event took place at Old Trafford, the home of Barclays Premier League side Manchester United, and it was set-up to allow Sixth Formers across the region to choose which university or apprenticeship is right for them.
This exciting and informative event provided attendees with the opportunity to speak to a multitude of exhibiting universities and apprenticeship providers.
These included; the Russell Group, red brick, modern institutions as well as many of the UK’s best apprenticeship providers and local colleges.
Other notable features of the Fair were the interactive STEM and creative zones, seminars and free brochures with detailed UCAS application guides.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “We strive to ensure our Sixth Form pupils are fully prepared for the next stage of their journey, and events like this are a great way for them to gain the best possible knowledge ahead of what is a monumental decision in their lives.
“Hopefully they got a great deal out of the experience and our form tutors will be on hand every step of the way throughout the process, led by our exceptional Head of Sixth Form Leah Crimes.”
