Sixth Form Subject Fair to take place this month

Prospective Sixth Form pupils will have a chance to see what Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Sixth Form has to offer at a special event.

The school will be holding its annual Sixth Form Subject Fair on Thursday, January 24, which will be held at the newly refurbished Ferguson Centre from 6pm.

During the event, there will be plenty to discover about Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Sixth Form community, who achieved historic A-level results last summer.

This included 45.1 per cent A*-A grades, which is the highest in the school’s history by some margin since the introduction of the A* grade.

More than a quarter of all grades were A*, which is another record, and 63.7 per cent of grades were A*-B marks as a result of their exceptional efforts.

The school also recorded a 100 per cent pass rate to round off a phenomenal year of academic excellence from the departed Year 13 group.

Those in attendance will be able to discuss the diverse curriculum available to each Sixth Form pupil at Rydal Penrhos, and key staff, form tutors and current pupils will be on hand to explain more about the overall experience at the school and the vast benefits it provides.

This includes significant support and guidance, leadership opportunities and exceptional preparation in terms of university applications and preparing for the next step in their education or working life.

Anyone wishing to book their place at the Sixth Form Subject Fair should contact admissions@rydalpenrhos.com or call 01492 530155.
