Rydal Penrhos’ Sixth Form Centre is set to benefit from an ongoing fundraising initiative run by the school.
Ambitious plans have been made to transform the Ferguson Centre into a “bright, creative and inspiring space”, and this is a pupil led project organised by the Upper Sixth duo of Anna Richardson and Morgan Roberts.
In order to give the project its full support, this year’s Annual Fund will focus on this specific project throughout the current academic year.
The campaign, which will officially launch later this month, aims to assist the pupils in any way possible to ensure the centre’s use will be maximised not just by the Sixth Form, but the entire Rydal Penrhos community.
In a further boost to the cause, the Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee has agreed that all funds raised from their annual Christmas Ball and Auction will be donated to the project.
Alumni and Development director Sarah Ritchie, said: “We hold a silent auction at the Ball each year, and in order to raise as much money as possible we need to fill the auction catalogue with as many items, experiences and services as possible.
“If you have anything that you would be able to donate please let me know. It could be an item, or perhaps you have a talent that someone could pay for? Or it could be something completely random.”
Anyone wishing to donate an item to the auction or for more information on the Christmas Ball contact Mrs Ritchie via email at SJRitchie@rydalpenrhos.com.
