A budding showjumper helped her local club to success at a regional event recently.
Charlotte Payne, a Year 4 pupil at Rydal Penrhos Prep School, was part of the Aberconwy Pony Club team that competed against other from across North Wales at a special event in Northop last weekend.
The nine-year-old turned in a fabulous performance throughout on board her horse named Cassie, and this contributed significantly to Aberconwy winning the overall team title after a standout collective effort from the group.
This is the latest in a long line of showjumping achievements from the pupil, who has demonstrated immense promise in the sport despite her tender age.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “This is a wonderful achievement for Charlotte and one that is sure to give her plenty of confidence ahead of what is sure to be a busy summer for her and the team at Aberconwy.
“Experiences such as these are essential for a child’s all-round development, and Charlotte has a very bright future in the world of showjumping if she continues to progress and show the same level of dedication and commitment in the months and years to come.”
