Sailing stars at Rydal Penrhos can enjoy a new addition to the fleet ahead of the new season.
The school marked the new campaign by showing off its latest model, which is owned by Head of Sailing Max Todd.
Year 11 pupil Zac Blomeley, who is ranked number one in the UK Junior category together with partner Ewan Luke, took the new boat out on the water recently, and pupils will now have access to it in addition to 800s, 500s, Laser 2000, Fevas, Teras, Picos, Toppers and Stratos.
It promises to be another season of success at Rydal Penrhos for its thriving sailing squad, with many now established in regional and national squads thanks to their fine efforts last term.
The likes of Luke and Blomeley will be seeking to enhance their growing reputations on the UK scene, while the brother duo of Kevin and Eddie Farrell are also expected to make a huge impression.
A number of other pupils are also expected to catch the eye, with all eyes on Felix Corson as he looks to progress further on to the national stage.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Our sailing programme has gone from strength-to-strength in recent years, which is down to the fantastic work being done by our pupils and staff here at Rydal Penrhos.
“Thanks to our stunning location on the North Wales coast, we can offer our squad members the chance to hone their skills frequently and under the eye of our fantastic coach Max, something that has brought with it phenomenal success and long may it continue.”
