Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Sailing department headed to one of the most popular destinations in the North Wales region for a special Activity Week event.
The RYA Accredited provision visited Abersoch once again during the final week of the academic year for a four-night, five-day Sailing and Water-Sports tour from June 30 until July 4.
Those in attendance got on the water for a sailing session shortly after their arrival, before enjoying Sailing and Wind-Surfing sessions in addition to an evening barbecue during an action-packed second day of activities.
A full-day sailing focussing on expedition and navigation to unexplored beaches and bays proved to very popular with those in attendance, and a busy fourth day saw the group take part in adventure swimming, coast walking, scrambling, sea level traversing, sailing and windsurfing.
The tour concluded with a sailing and windsurfing activity before returning to Rydal Penrhos to round-off another exceptional experience for aspiring sailors.
Head of Sailing Max Todd and Dan Rippon led the tour as chief instructors, and they were aided by other specialist coaching staff at the school during the trip.

“Their annual Abersoch tour during Activity Week is another great way for them to enhance their skills and boost friendships at one of the most beautiful areas anywhere in the country.”
