A group of Preparatory School sailing stars continued their sensational recent form at a regional event.
The Rydal Penrhos squad travelled to Pwllheli for the regional CYRC event, which featured some of the most talented sailors from across the North Wales region.
After a highly competitive RS Tera Silver Fleet the school came away with a 1-2-3 from the race, with Freddie MacLaverty emerging triumphant after another memorable display on the water.
Next to cross the line was Fflur Pierce in second place, with Keira Luke completing a Rydal Penrhos podium after she finished in third spot.
Another to achieve significant success was Year 6 pupil Zac Roberts, who enhanced his growing reputation with victory in the Optimist Silver class after a flawless run.
There was further triumphs in the Silver Topper class, where Llion Morris produced a wonderful effort to cross the line in third in the face of some stiff competition.
Christian Cheesley boosted the school’s performance with a fifth placed finish, with Matthew Stubbins claiming sixth position in blustery conditions.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “This was yet another outstanding performance from our talented sailors, who continue to thrive thanks to the school programme.
“Their coaches, led by Max Todd, do a wonderful job of maximising their potential and you can see by their results just how much benefit this is having on each of them.”
