The entire Rydal Penrhos community came together for a special event to mark the end of the academic year.
Both Prep and Senior school pupils joined forces at the End of Term Celebration Service, which was held at St John’s Church earlier this month.
The service featured a host of pupils from both sites taking to the pulpit to talk about their year at the school, what their fondest memories were and who has inspired them throughout their journey.
Staff also gave their respective accounts on the last few months at Rydal Penrhos, including Head of Sixth Form Pete Lavery, Drama and English Teacher Fiona Earle and Music teacher Richard Williams.
Reverend Nick Sissons then enlisted the help of Year 4 pupils for a special activity, before Headmaster Simon Smith gave his final address to the congregation.
He said: “On January 9 I stood here and challenged the Senior School to a number of resolutions to take with them through the remainder of the academic year, and one of those was to continue to make Rydal Penrhos a school that we can all be enormously proud of.
“I don’t know how you have got on with the other individual resolutions, but I think we can all agreed they have succeeded in this one.
“I will offer you five pieces of advice before you head off on your break; Sleep well, play often, laugh loudly, read widely and get ready to return for what should be another extraordinary academic year in September.”
