Rydal Penrhos have announced a strong squad for a Rugby Sevens tournament this weekend.
The 10-man senior side will travel to Brecon to compete at the Christ College U18 7s tournament on Saturday, February 25, in what is expected to be a highly competitive afternoon against some quality opposition.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd has revealed an experienced squad for the competition, which will be captained by Head Boy and RGC Academy star Adam Sabri.
The impressive Dan Owen, who has made a number of senior squad appearances this term, is also named in the squad, while fellow academy members Henry Davies, Nick Dundee and Euan Humphries will all be looking to make a significant impact.
Further quality comes in the form of Sale Sharks and Cheshire U17 squad member Kieron Brogan, while the pacey Sean Hughes and Jack Jones have acquired big match experience this season as part of the RGC U16 set-up.
Tawanda Harris will provide some explosiveness to the squad, while the powerful Harry Dean is also expected to be a huge asset to the side.
They will begin the tournament against King's School, Worcester, before taking on Hartpury College, Whitchurch High School and Millfield School.
Mr Boyd, said: “This is going to be another brilliant tournament for our players, and the squad we have at our disposal is very capable of coming home with some silverware.
“The majority of them are now part of regional programmes which has aided their development considerably, so hopefully they will all come together and give a good account of themselves.”
