A Rydal Penrhos pupil is looking to put her experience to good use in the upcoming Dramatic Society production.
Ruby James, a Year 11 pupil at the school, will be taking on the role of Pepper for the production of Annie the Musical, which will take place from Tuesday, March 28 until Friday 31.
The 16-year-old has also been cast as the principal dancer for the show, and the GCSE drama pupil has been involved in a host of productions throughout her life, taking the stage at just two-and-a-half years old for her first performance.
In addition to her roles on stage, Ruby has also performed in the West End over a number of years during a special summer programme, and has been part of a well-known Youth Music Theatre group in London.
Under the stewardship of Head of English and Drama Leah Crimes, who is also directing the musical, the pupil is currently working towards her silver medal LAMDA speech and drama exam and hopes to study A-Level next year.
She said: “I love drama and musical theatre more than most things and Annie is one of my favourite ever musicals, so I cannot wait to get on stage.
“Mrs Crimes is a top notch legend and I love her, she has been so supportive and I hope we can repay her with a great show.”
