Rob Hall to headline Citadel Festival with Catfish & the Bottlemen

A former Rydal Penrhos pupil will headline a major festival with his chart-topping band Catfish and the Bottlemen this summer.

Rob Hall, who left the school in 2011, is a drummer with the indie sensations, who have built up a loyal and devoted fan base across the world.

They are set to release their third album The Balance on April 26 later this year, and they will be the headline act at the Citadel Festival in London on Sunday, July 14.

Catfish and the Bottlemen will top the bill at the main stage of the festival and close the one-day extravaganza, preceded by the likes of Rag 'n' Bone Man, Friendly Fires and DMA's.

It has been a hugely successful few months for the BRIT Award winners, who are currently in the midst of a tour across the United States as they continue to build their brand across the globe.

Their new single Longshot has gone down a storm at their latest shows, with their new album following on from the outstanding second hit The Balcony, which reached number one in the UK Album Chart.

Director of Music Pete Williams, said: “To see one of our own really taking the music world by storm is enormously inspirational, and Rob is the subject of much conversation with our aspiring musicians looking to follow in his footsteps.

“It is going to be a busy summer for the group with their new album, a UK tour and multiple festival dates, and this should propel them to even greater heights.”
