Quartet shine with Colwyn Bay Netball Club's youth set-up

A group of aspiring Preparatory School netballers have shown considerable promise for a regional club throughout the season.

Charlotte Payne, Ellie Knight, Fleur Roberts and Sophie Morris are all part of Colwyn Bay Netball Club across a number of different age groups, and they have all developed their skills exceptionally during a busy series of fixtures during the season.

This has resulted in some outstanding individual and team performances from the talented contingent, adding to the strong level of consistent efforts the foursome have made in Rydal Penrhos colours.

Each pupil was acknowledged for their superb commitment throughout the season with a medal, and there was even a league championship to celebrate for members of the Rydal Penrhos contingent.

In addition to their reward from the club, all four were given recognition from Prep School Head Alison Hind and Assistant Head Catherine Hughes at Rydal Penrhos’ weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 3.

Mrs Hind, said: “Charlotte, Ellie, Fleur and Sophie are simply thriving in a sporting environment, both with the teams here at Rydal Penrhos and at local clubs.

“This is a testament to their overall ability, work ethic and desire to get better and develop their considerable skills across a multitude of different areas.”
