Pupils acknowledged for outstanding achievement with Headmaster's Award

A host of Rydal Penrhos pupils were given special recognition for their contribution to the school.

No fewer than four hard working pupils were given a special Headmaster’s Award during Easter’s Prize Giving Assembly, which acknowledges their outstanding achievements throughout what was a very busy term.

Simon Smith announced that Cerys Cuddihy, Sydney Johnson, Kevin Farrell and Jasper Richardson were all given the honour, which adds to a host of recent successes for the pupils.

Cerys, Kevin and Sydney emerged victorious from the Rotary International’s Youth Speaks competition regional heat, which was held in Darwen, Lancashire last month.

Competing against schools from across the North West, the trio delivered an outstanding performance and received numerous complimentary comments from the panel of highly skilled and acclaimed judges.

They were awarded first place for their wonderful efforts, and they will now look further success in the national showcase, which will be held on May 7.

Jasper has also given a great deal to the Rydal Penrhos community during his time at the school.
