In the lead-up to our Open Morning events in April, we will be taking a look at the pupils that make Rydal Penrhos such a fantastic place to live and learn.
The latest Prep School pupil under the spotlight is Tristan Griffiths:
- Name: Tristan Griffiths
- Year group: Year 6
- Pupil status: Prep
- House: Pembroke
Tristan has been a huge part of Rydal Penrhos life since arriving as a Reception class pupil in 2012, and is currently achieving some outstanding accolades in a wide range of different areas.
The 10-year-old is another prime example of what can be achieved at the Prep School, which is a testament to his impressive work ethic and his willingness to grasp every opportunity afforded to him by Rydal Penrhos’ thriving programme.
He is a very talented musician and has contributed to a large number of concerts put on at the school throughout the academic year, which have been implemented to improve confidence of performing in front of an audience to further enhance their skills.
Tristan’s instrument of expertise is the drums, with the Pembroke House member hitting the headline recently when he secured a Merit from his Grade 4 Drum examination from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, which represents a significant feat for someone so young.
The Prep School pupil is also thriving academically in areas such as Mathematics, Science and English under the expert guidance of teaching staff, which also saw him become one of the first pupils to complete Rydal Penrhos’ Spelling Challenge scheme.
His sporting achievements are also vast, with the young hopeful producing a series of fine efforts as part of the hugely successful U10 rugby side during what was a memorable campaign for the squad.
This included a starring performance in their recent Cooper Cup win over Colwyn Bay, which contributed significantly to the school’s 3-1 aggregate victory.
Rydal Penrhos will be holding Senior and Prep Open Morning events on Friday, April 26 and Saturday 27 from 9.30am, and to book your place contact Admissions Officer Jenny Marsden on 01492 530155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
