In the lead-up to our Open Morning events in April, we will be taking a look at the pupils that make Rydal Penrhos such a fantastic place to live and learn.
We begin with Year 7 pupil Bea Gardener:
- Name: Bea Gardener
- Year group: Year 8
- Pupil status: Day
- House: Morgan
It has been a hugely impressive few months for Bea since arriving at Rydal Penrhos, and she wasted no time in fully immersing herself into all aspects of school life.
The 12-year-old has already established herself as a very important member of the Year 7 group and has
She has turned in a number of impressive performances for Rydal Penrhos’ netball side, who have progressed significantly throughout the season under the guidance of Head of Girls’ Games Nicky Head and her dedicated staff.
This was particularly evident on the school’s annual Sports Tour of Yorkshire, where the Goal Keeper turned in a series of solid defensive efforts, which included a 7-6 victory over Ackworth School.
The pupil, who is the daughter of Head of Food and Nutrition Ms Gardener, has also been a key component in the success of Morgan during various House competitions throughout the academic year so far and was part of the Year 7 group that produced some poignant Memory Books for the resident of Merton Place in Colwyn Bay over the festive period.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Bea has been a credit to herself and everyone at Rydal Penrhos since her enrolment in September, and she has a very bright future if she continues to show the same application in the years to come.
“Her confidence and ability to adapt to every academic and co-curricular task is something that will stand her in very good stead for the future, and we are delighted Bea has fitted in so well.”
Rydal Penrhos will be holding Senior and Prep Open Morning events on Friday, April 26 and Saturday 27 from 9.30am, and to book your place contact Admissions Officer Jenny Marsden on 01492 530155 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
