A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.
As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgement scheme, pupils across all age groups have been selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts throughout the week.
The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners’ were announced by both Headmaster Simon Smith and Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, October 20:
Reception: Adhira Nimalan - for her lovely storytelling.
Year 1: Ela Lloyd-Bloom - for detailed artwork and a beautifully designed Christmas Card.
Year 2: Xavier Poynton - for his lively descriptive writing in Read Write Inc.
3JW: Hudson Lamb - for always trying hard especially in History.
4CEC: Charlotte Payne - for her enthusiasm and hard work in class.
5CC: Grace Watkins - for her consistent effort and enthusiasm in all lessons this half term.
5JP: Gabe Donohue - for a fabulous choice of words in his poem.
6AG: Max Cowen-Wright - for a beautiful piece of poetry about a first day at school.
6JM: Telor Jones - for his enthusiasm and developing prowess when coding in ICT.
Last week’s Artist of the Week was finally presented to Louis Townley-Bass, with Angus Holland producing a stunning portrait to be crowned this week’s winner by teacher Suzy Morris.
The efforts of Lucas Yu did not go unnoticed by Music teacher Richard Davies as he picked up the Singer of the Week Award, while the duo of Jorgie Lynch and Izhran Shah rewarded for their notable writing efforts in the classroom with their Pen Licenses.
