Prep School weekly awards: February 23

A host of Preparatory School pupils have been rewarded for their exceptional work during the week thanks to an ongoing initiative.

As part of Rydal Penrhos’ achievement acknowledgement scheme, pupils across all age groups were selected for accolades in recognition of their academic and co-curricular efforts.

The highly anticipated Stars of the Week winners’ were announced by Deputy Head Alison Hind during the school’s weekly Celebration Assembly on Friday, February 23.

Reception: Archie Green - for settling in so well in his new school.

Year 1: Alexandra Lopez Moreno - for success in reading and independent writing.

Year 2: Siham Clarke - for her super art work produced to celebrate the Mexican 'Dia de Muertos' festival.

3JW: Felix Griffin - for trying hard with his handwriting.

4CEC: Dominic Chamberlain - for his great 500 words story involving a Dommy Ripper 2000 and Rupert Barrington Chance – for settling in so well at school.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

5CC: Maggie McDuff - for writing a fabulously witty and creative story for the 500 words competition.

5JP: Freddie Barrington Chance  - for settling in so well into his new school.

6AG: Aidan Van Rooyen - for a motivated attitude in all Maths activities. 

6JM: Ethan Akroyd - for his encouraging development in Eton Fives this week – especially in taming his serve!

The talented Cammie de la Mare Norris has been working hard with teacher Suzy Morris over the last few days, and her efforts gave her the Artist of the Week distinction.

Rounding off the successes were the trio of Freddie MacLaverty, William McLaughlin and Ellie Knight, who were presented with their Pen Licenses.
