Talented athletes battled it out for bragging rights at Rydal Penrhos’ annual Pre-Prep Sports Morning.
The young prep school sports stars competed in a series of events on Friday, May 18 in front of a packed out audience of parents, families and staff to kick-off the day at the picturesque New Field.
After events including hurdles, obstacles, egg and spoon, relays and sprints, Pembroke emerged victorious by a narrow margin in what was a highly competitive competition, with Tomas Milligan and Ifana Wynn Jones collecting the coveted trophy from Head of Boys’ Games Jamie McLeod and Head of Pre-Prep Gaynor Davies.
There were a host of exceptional performances throughout the morning, with the likes of Tomas, Jaxson Lynch, Honey Hodgson-Jones, Ella Payne, Eleanor Turner and Jenson Hodgson-Roberts all turning in memorable performances to ensure the event was another huge success.
Mr McLeod, said: “It was another outstanding display of commitment from each pupil that took part, and they can be enormously proud of their contribution during a thoroughly entertaining Pre-Prep Sports Morning.
“We did something a little different this year by moving it to New Field and getting the whole school community involved in the whole day, and this brought a huge response from everyone concern3ed which was fantastic to see.
“Congratulations to Pembroke on their victory, and the points earned will be added to the overall score at the end of the academic year.”
