Some of Rydal Penrhos’ brightest young minds took part in a special competition based on a long-running TV programme.
The school’s second annual Inter-House Senior and Junior University Challenge events were held during the spring term, with valuable points up for grabs that will eventually determine the Yeung Bowl House Cup winner.
The senior event saw Payne emerge victorious thanks to a final win over Wesley, who secured second spot as a result of their outstanding efforts.
Osborn and Morgan finished joint-third to round off the places.
There was further drama in the junior category, which ended with Osborn taking home the title thanks to an eye-catching score of 760 points over their two games.
Morgan ended in second position with 500 points, with Wesley and Payne in joint-third to complete another successful academic competition.
Senior School Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Our Inter-House University Challenge competitions once again generated an enormous amount of interest across a varied range of age groups, and I would like to thank teacher Mathew Hubert for organising and hosting the event extremely well.
“House pride is something that each pupil at Rydal Penrhos really embraces at competitions throughout all areas of the school during the academic year, and I would like to congratulate everyone that contributed throughout the competition.”
