Aspiring chefs battled it out for bragging rights in the latest of a series of culinary inter-house competitions at Rydal Penrhos.
The school held its Intermediate Inter-House MasterChef competition prior to the summer break, with two members from each house teaming up to come up with a culinary delight in the hope of securing the crown.
Each team came up with a series of dishes with a set amount of ingredients given to them for the task, and they also had a communal area with other items they could use to create their respective
After each final product was judged by a team of staff members, the Osborn house duo of Luiza Gratton and Pheobe Walker emerged victorious from the competition thanks to their exceptional efforts in the kitchen.
Another notable final product came from Morgan’s Arthur Hind and Libby Hughes, with Wesley pair Megan Gibson and Julian Dahl also coming in for significant praise.
Payne’s Sydney Johnson and Bella Rutherford also produced a highly accomplished dish to further add to what was a hugely successful competition run by the Food Studies department led by Laura Gardener.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “Our Inter-House MasterChef competitions have been a very popular addition to the competition schedule at Rydal Penrhos throughout the summer term, and Ms Gardener and her dedicated staff team deserve an enormous amount of credit for putting together an exciting programme that has really captured the imagination of each pupil taking part.”
