A host of prizes have been won by pupils for their respective houses over the term.
As the battle for the overall crown ahead of Rydal Penrhos’ annual Speech Day intensifies, pupils have been battling it out for vital points in a wide range of academic and sporting areas.
The team of Edward Patrick, Adrian Lewis, Rebecca Mann and Niall Richardson secured the junior inter-house University Challenge title for Morgan, while the foursome of Jack and Will Sissons, Will Marston and Emily Li secured the senior title for Wesley.
Girl power has once again been evident at the school with Edwards turning in a stunning effort to claim both the Boarding singing and basketball categories, and Beecholme also secured a double in the boarding five and seven-a side football competitions.
The duo of Matthew Trumper and Emily Cashell triumphed in the Senior squash event for Osborn, with Cal Earle (Morgan) and Keira Bonnington (Payne) taking the junior title.
However it was Osborn who emerged as the big winners throughout the term, taking home no fewer than seven events including boys’ and girls’ football, intermediate and overall hockey cup, in addition to junior, senior and overall netball victories.
Rounding off the successes were Wesley house, who won the junior hockey tournament, while Morgan came out on top in the intermediate netball event.
