Two Sixth Form pupils have been appointed to key positions within a busy committee.
Nia Humphreys and Alexandra Williams, Year 12 pupils at the school, have been appointed as Chair and Co-Chair of Rydal Penrhos’ Sixth Form Management Committee with immediate effect.
The duo both arrived at the school on sports scholarships in September and have wasted no time in making a huge impact on their peers and the Rydal Penrhos community as a whole.
They will now be tasked with ensuring the smooth running of the Sixth Form, overseeing things day-to-day and dealing with any queries, problems and assisting at specially organised events.
This is just one of many leadership opportunities available as part of the school’s thriving Sixth Form, with those living and learning at the site presented with the chance to join various committees or apply for the coveted Prefect positions.
Acting Head Sally Ann Harding, said: “Nia and Alexandra have emerged as hugely influential figures within our Lower Sixth Form in a very short space of time, and this will ensure that they will be a massive success in their respective roles.
“Gaining extra responsibility during the final years of their school lives is something that has proved to be immensely beneficial to our Sixth Formers, in addition to helping with things such as leadership, organisational skills, time management and communication.”
