Rydal Penrhos’ young netball stars took to the court in the pursuit of house points at a special event last weekend.
The school held its annual Junior Inter-House Netball competition on Saturday, February 16, which saw the four senior houses battle it out in the hope of securing coveted bragging rights.
This competition was played in a round-robin format and saw some quality play on show from everyone involved, and after a frantic morning of action Osborn were crowned overall winners of the competition thanks to a series of impressive results.
There were a host of impressive contributions from an Osborn perspective throughout the showcase, with Jasmin Beckett-Donald, Sophie Hall and Eve Durrans leading from the front.
Payne were also in fine form and finished in second after narrowly missing out on top spot, with Morgan and Wesley rounding off the placings in third and fourth respectively.
The Inter-House competitions are implemented throughout all areas of Rydal Penrhos life, with pupils across all age groups striving for points in pursuit of the Yeung Bowl House Cup, which is awarded to the winning House at the school’s annual Speech Day event.
Director of Sport Allen Boyd, said: “Our Junior netballers contributed significantly to another fantastic Inter-House competition, which is a testament to how much young talent we have here at Rydal Penrhos.
“The competition was played in a competitive environment and in the right spirit throughout, and congratulations go to Osborn on their victory.”
