Talented netballers at Rydal Penrhos performed well in a pair of matches recently.
It has been a busy few days for the first VII as they recorded an impressive 27-7 win over neighbours Coleg Llandrillo thanks to what was their best all-round performance of the campaign to date.
Imogen Camp put in a sterling effort to come away with player-of-the-match honours, while skipper Soumini Peeka led her team superbly and contributed significantly to the triumph.
The girls’ then travelled to Ellesmere College just three days later for another test in what were difficult conditions throughout.
A positive start was thanks in no small part to the stout defensive work of Mollie Smithfield, Olivia Williams and Elinor Davies intercepting powerful passes to then turn over the ball.
Despite falling behind in the second quarter, their play notably improved after the restart with Sam Randall, Emily Cashell and Becky Lawton all providing a spark for the Rydal Penrhos side in an encouraging display.
