A Lower School pupil at Rydal Penrhos has been rewarded for his considerable determination with an impressive music grading result.
Perry Williams, a Year 7 pupil at the school, recently participated in his Grade One Singing assessment, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The academic and music scholar has been working incredibly hard in the lead-up to the examination under the guidance and support of Rydal Penrhos’ dedicated staff, and this resulted in Perry coming through the assessment with flying colours.
This is the latest in a long line of successes for the 11-year-old, who has also developed his outstanding vocal skills as part of the Pauline Quirk Performing Arts Academy in Llandudno over recent months.
As part of his involvement with the Academy, Perry recently took the stage alongside sister Amelia, Maggie McDuff and Grace Watkins with G4 on their special tour date at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
He will now begin working towards further grading accolades in the future with Director of Music Pete Williams and teacher Richard Davies.
Mr Williams, said: “This is another notable milestone for Perry, who is a delightful pupil to work with and can be rightfully proud of what he has accomplished so far.
“He has made a fantastic start to life at our senior school and continues to gain confidence with every session and performance, so I am confident that this is just the start of things to come for Perry and his performing arts contribution in the weeks and months ahead.”
