Two staff members at Rydal Penrhos will be part of a special production at a prominent local venue later this month.
Head of Drama Rachel Jones and Music teacher Richard Davies are involved in the upcoming Contrast Theatre Company production of Amelia Bullmore's Di and Viv and Rose, which will take place at Theatr Colwyn Thursday, May 16 until Saturday 18.
Mrs Jones will be playing the role of Di during the Thursday and Friday performances, with Mr Davies assuming the role of sound designer in addition to working with the backstage team.
The story centres on three young students, all aged 18, who join forces at university where life is fun, living is intense and together they feel unassailable.
Spanning 27 years, the play is described as “a humorous, thoughtful and poignant exploration of friendship’s impact on life, and life's impact on friendship”.
Both Mrs Jones and Mr Davies have been hugely influential members of Rydal Penrhos’ thriving Performing Arts provision in recent years, with the duo playing a leading role behind the scenes during the exceptional Dramatic Society production of Les Misérables.
Tickets are priced at £12 per person, with £11 for concessions and £10 for friends.
