More than £1,000 was raised from this year’s FORPS Summer Fair extravaganza.
The event, which is organised by the Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee, took place on Tuesday, June 27 and it was once again a great success despite heavy rain forcing last minute changes to plans.
Normally held in the school quad, organisers moved the event into the Sports Hall, where there were a host of stalls, an auction, a bouncy castle and Inflatable Assault course, which was a hugely popular addition and provided by Commando X-Fit.
A pair of virtual reality stations were recently purchased on behalf of FORPS, and fairgoers had the chance to try out the equipment themselves throughout the event.
Those attending were kept entertained by a variety of music and drama performances from pupils and while refreshments were available in abundance in the form of a cake stall and barbecue.
There was also a grand raffle with a host of superb prizes on offer, and a total of £1,522 was raised from the event with all proceeds going towards projects across various departments at Rydal Penrhos.
Deputy Head Tim Cashell, said: “This is another fantastic total and the money raised will benefit each and every pupil at Rydal Penrhos, thanks to yet more amazing work from our FORPS committee.
“We are very lucky to have such a hard-working group that do so much exceptional fundraising for the school, and everyone is immensely appreciative of their efforts.”
