As part of an ongoing series of features throughout the summer at Rydal Penrhos, we take a look at the newly appointed Sixth Form leadership positions and the pupils that have secured them in ‘Meet the Captains’.
The latest instalment features the Morgan team of Jule Mayer and Will Lynch:
Things look good for the prospects of Morgan House thanks to the appointments of Jule and Will as captains and leaders of the group.
German boarder Jule has fully immersed herself into all areas of Rydal Penrhos life, emerging as a respected and valued member of the Sixth Form community since joining the school in 2016.
She is a valued role model for the Junior Drama Club and recently produced their pantomime Aladdin to raise funds for Water Aid, and her work in the community has seen Jule help out with the annual charity bag packing event at Morrisons in aid of the RNLI and attend a Rotary International Evening at Colwyn Bay Cricket Club as a special guest.
The 17-year-old is also a very accomplished golfer and has benefitted enormously from the coaching provided at the school’s Golf Academy, in addition to the pupil become a hugely influential figure within girls’ boarding house Edwards.
Will is an intelligent young man who is equally as skilled in the classroom as he is on the rugby field, something that has seen him become a key component in the senior squad despite being at the school for one academic year.
He is a Welsh Rugby League international and was recently awarded a U16 scholarship at Salford City Red Devils last year to continue his exciting development in both disciplines.
The multi-talented pupil is also part of the newly formed editorial team for the school newspaper The RePorter as it looks to continue its fine success after its initial creation by departing Sixth Formers Elinor Davies and Ben Gibson.
Will is a popular member of the Rydal Penrhos community, whether it be as a supportive influence within the boarding house or during various inter-house competitions.
