A multi-talented Preparatory School pupil has managed to secure two notable achievements during her summer break.
Lucy Ranales-Griffiths, who is about to move into Year 4 at Rydal Penrhos, recently passed her Grade One Piano examination which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
The eight-year-old impressed adjudicators after dedicating an enormous amount of her time outside of the classroom to improving her craft, and she will now begin working towards further grading success in the coming months.
There was further cause for celebration as the pupil with a selection to the U9 Tennis Squad at nationwide initiative Love the Challenge, where she will receive two sessions of two hours a week under the guidance of specialist coaches.
Deputy Head Alison Hind, said: “This is yet more fantastic news for Lucy, who continues to demonstrate just how skilled she is in a wide range of different areas.
“Lucy is very dedicated to everything she tries her hand at, and if she continues to show this type of application both academically and in her extra-curricular activities then this is going to bring with it even more accolades in the future.”
