A gifted Preparatory School musician is celebrating after securing a notable grading success.
Llion Morris, a Year 6 pupil at Rydal Penrhos, was rewarded for his hard work and dedicated with a triumph in his Grade 1 Cello examination.
The assessment, which was administered by the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, covered everything from posture, performance and technique
The 11-year-old kept his composure and performed fantastically to come away with the honour, and he will now begin working hard in the hope of gaining further grading recognition in the future.
This is the latest in a long line of recent music grading success stories at Rydal Penrhos’ Prep and Senior sites, with a host of pupils across all age groups putting the hours away from the classroom to gain extra-curricular qualifications.
Llion received a generous round of applause at the school’s Celebration Assembly on Friday, May 26.
Prep School head Roger McDuff, said: “Congratulations to Llion on achieving his award, which continues our rich history of ABRSM assessment accolades achieved by our wonderful pupils throughout the course of the academic year.”
