A group of Preparatory School parents and staff turned into elves for the day in the name of charity.
The festive group consisting of men and women, donned their best elf outfits for the school’s annual Secrets Room initiative, which took place on Thursday, December 6 and was once again organised by the Friends of Rydal Penrhos committee.
For a small donation, pupils entered a Secrets Room where they could pick two gifts of their choosing to give to whomever they wished on Christmas Day, before having them specially wrapped by the school’s resident elves before returning to the classroom.
Pupils also received some finely wrapped reindeer food to leave out for Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
The annual event has raised thousands of pounds for a number of worthy cause since its inception, with this year’s total of £775 going towards Rydal Penrhos’ ongoing charity work in Uganda.
Prep School Head Alison Hind, said: “Our Secrets Room is always something that pupils and staff alike look forward to, and it was fantastic to see our Library transformed into a winter wonderland for the occasion.
“The work that FORPS do across our Prep and Senior sites is extraordinary and I would like them on behalf of everyone at Rydal Penrhos for their tireless efforts and bringing so much joy to each child at the Prep School during the Secrets Room event."
